The Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office is committed to public safety, as well as the safety of our staff and inmates. Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases, both in Cheyenne County and the surrounding areas, new restrictions have been put in place at our facility. Effective immediately, no visitors will be admitted inside of the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office unless absolutely necessary and visitors will not be admitted without first submitting to a temperature check . Any sign of a temperature above 100.5 degrees will result in exclusion from gaining entrance to the office. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and to social distance whenever possible. Inmates at the Cheyenne County Jail have an opportunity to purchase prepaid phone cards in the amount of $5 or $10 through commissary or set up a prepaid account. Friends and family can also set up prepaid phone accounts. Video and E-mail accounts are also available. Four new video Kiosk systems have been installed in the jail for inmates to be able to have video visits with family and friends and to be able to send and receive E-mails.

Cheyenne County Jail Visitation Schedule
Tuesday From 1pm - 3pm
Friday From 1pm -3pm
Visitation must be authorized by Inmates Visitors List or Approved Prior to Visit.
Each inmate is allowed one (1) hour for visitation, up to four (4) visitors, therefore visitors are only allowed to visit one inmate per visitation day.

Visitor can not be on Probation, parole or a convicted Felon

Visitation may be cancelled due to weather or jail incidents, (There will not be a make up date) There will be no visitation on Holidays. If visitation falls on a holiday, visitation will be moved to the day prior to, or the day after, at the discretion of the Captain.
