Posting a Cash Bond

Cash bonds can be posted in person at the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Cash bonds can also be posted with the county court clerk or the district court clerk, whichever is applicable, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Consumers who wish to make cash bail payments to Cheyenne County Jail may do so using GovPayNet®. GovPayNet accepts the major credit, debit, and prepaid card brands for cash bail 24/7 online or by phone. Cardholders can make payments on their own behalf or on behalf of friends and family. They need only have some basic information about the arrestee and the bail amount, information that the Cheyenne County Jail can provide to the cardholder contacting GovPayNet.

For added convenience, GovPayNet bilingual Criminal Justice Payment Specialists are available around the clock for cardholder assistance.

Cardholders pay a service fee at the time of their transaction. GovPayNet handles all cardholder calls and inquiries regarding payment issues.

The court has recently reviewed the procedures with reference to refunding bonds to defendants and/or their assignees and has updated the procedures. Please be advised of the following change: No defendant and/or assignee will receive bond money back once all fines, costs, and restitution are paid in full.
